Internext: Back to the Beach '03

"The Industry Networking Event," Internext is the world's largest Adult Internet/Audiotext tradeshow, and a vital resource for both newbie and experienced Webmasters searching for the latest information, tools, and partner contacts to drive their businesses into the future. The latest show will take place in Hollywood, Florida, from August 1-3, 2003. Here’s a look:

UPDATED > Here's some pics - and more are coming!

With over 125 companies showcasing their latest offerings, including adult photo and video providers, as well as Age Verification Systems, content protection services, Web hosting companies, Webmaster affiliate programs, gaming companies, shopping, customer service, and Audiotext services, along with media buyers, Webmaster resources, Internet billing companies, Web design firms, Lawyers, and technology gurus, the "Show of Shows" provides solutions for every need - all under one roof!

Whether you are an experienced Webmaster looking to strengthen or begin relationships, a newbie looking for a clue as to what the industry is really about, an old-school Audiotext services vendor, or a mainstream technology firm looking to break into the adult market, Internext is the place to be!

There’s more to the show than the show floor however, as Internext’s greatest attractions include the parties, and educational seminars.

The Seminars
Often overlooked by first-time and seasoned attendees alike, the seminars and roundtable sessions offered at Internext could mean the difference between success and failure for many Webmasters, with their well rounded presentation of current, leading edge information presented by industry veterans.

On the line up at this year’s summer show are a number of valuable sessions, including Friday’s opening Traffic Management presentation by panelists BennyB from SexMoney.com, Cynthia Fanshaw of PSWBilling.com, Diane Ruffcorn from Insite Adult, Scott Rabinowitz of Trafficdude.com, and Mike Shehan, from BullsEye9. This group of experts will be on hand to provide insight into the latest surfer acquisition and management techniques.

The Gay Webmaster Roundtable, featuring GA Media Corp’s Gary-Alan, Karl Edwards of Bedfellow.com, Caryn Goldberg of Specialty Publication, Rob Novinger from C1R and Morgan Sommer from Cybersocket Magazine follows the traffic seminar, bringing the latest information on profiting from gay traffic no matter what type of site you run.

On Saturday, the seminars swing into high-gear with the "Grumpy Old Bastards Roundtable" featuring perennial Internext favorites Aly Drummond from Python, Richard "Bangwang" Nash from Cyber Trend, Colin Rowntree from Wasteland.com, and Rick Schwartz, aka Webfather. If you want to know what’s going on in the industry today, and into the future, this is where you’ll find out. These folks have been around forever, and are not shy about sharing their knowledge and opinions!

The ever-popular Legal Update Roundtable finishes off the afternoon with what is historically the most important hour and a half of InterNext - and from what I hear, this year’s legal seminar will be no exception! First Amendment advocates and legal powerhouses such as Paul Cambria, Jr., from Lipsitz, Green, Fahringer, Roll, Salisbury & Cambria, along with Clyde DeWitt, of Weston, Garrou & DeWitt, plus Joe Obenberger, of J.D. Obenberger & Associates, and Greg Piccionelli, of Brull, Piccionelli, Sarno, Braun & Vradenburgh, and Larry Walters, of Weston, Garrou & DeWitt will be on hand to discuss the current and future problem areas that you need to be aware of in order to profitably, and safely market from online adult entertainment.

Sunday offers only one roundtable, but if I were to guess, the attendance might even surpass Saturday’s legal seminar - because Sunday brings The Billing Roundtable. Panelists Ron Cadwell from CCBill, along with Mitch Farber of NetBilling, David Knell of GlobalCharge, Sean Macias of Leader, Kozmor & Macias, and Chris Mallick, of Epoch / Paycom will be on hand to face what is sure to be a flurry of questions over the very future of credit card processing, as well as charge back reduction, and payment alternatives.

I know that this pre-noon panel will be a tough one to make for many late-night party goers who might still be enjoying their Saturday night, but expect to arrive early for this presentation if you want to find a seat - as I expect to see a ‘standing-room only’ crowd for this one!

The Parties
And speaking of Saturday night parties, the most anticipated event of this season’s Internext Expo will be GIGAMIX, the exclusive yacht party presented by XBiz and GIGACASH, and sponsored by our friends at Sextronix, PussyCash, NicheWealth, goodthinxx.com, LoverCash, XXX Cash, Adult Lounge, Leading Edge Cash, KLIXXX, and FUBAR. Hitting the water for 3 amazing hours of drinks, dance and daring escapades, along with surprise live entertainment, raffles and dancers, GIGAMIX is one party you won't want to miss!

GIGAMIX might be the best party happening at Internext, but it’s certainly not the only one - being joined by the GoFuckYourself.com Warm Up Party, the 3rd Annual Internext Welcome Party at Solid Gold Strip Club, SilverCash' Happy Hour and Bikini Invitational, the Lounge Lizard party, the Gay Webmaster Welcome Party, The Player's Pool Party, "The College Kegger!", the VIP Poker Night, the VIP Martini Reception, Rock Me Hard, the Gay Webmaster Night Club Party, FreekFest, Pornopalooza, the 8TH Annual InternextBash and ICECOLDCASH Party, the Gay Webmaster Farewell Party, plus a special night High on Opium in Miami - and an endless number of private, en suite, and ‘under the table’ parties and impromptu gatherings…

Regardless of why you attend, and what you do while you’re there, the fact remains that InterNext - whether it’s January’s frenzied Las Vegas pace, or Miami’s laid back summer scene, is a must-attend event for every serious adult Webmaster. Stay tuned for lots of photos from the show - and I hope that I will see you there! ~ Stephen
